I found a recipe for butterscotch pudding popsicles that I had to try. Looking at different molds, I was evaluating price (if I didn't like the end result, would I just give up on the whole thing?), ease of removing the pops and freezer space (we have a side-by-side that's pretty full). Silicone seemed like the best option since being a child of the 70s I had enough bad experiences trying to unmold Jello salads with hot water, I just wanted to avoid the experience.Upon receiving, I couldn't sort out how to get the sticks through the holes which were uncut. A message to the vendor and I found that you just have to "push really hard" and the silicone will then mold around the sticks. I did give them a little help with a small knife hole. They worked as described; no leaks.Because the silicone is floppy and the space I have is on top of other things in the freezer, I place the mold on a small cutting board or 1/4-sheet pan to stabilize.The only thing I really didn't like is the length of the sticks provided. They are 6 inches, whereas most others are 4.5 inches, so I've purchased others.Now when we have a little leftover smoothie, which quite frankly wouldn't be good later, I can freeze it. No waste and a good snack for later.
